My Official Coolest FaceBook Moment EVER was getting the following notification:

"Howard Jones has accepted your friend request."

It's different than on MySpace, where your favorite artist has thousands upon thousands of friends.  Right now Howard only has 200+ FaceBook friends.

But he was sitting there FaceBooking at the same time as me, and I've got butterflies in my stomach right now :-)  I am such a huge New Wave geek as it is, and Howard has been one of my all-time favorites since like, 1983.  So I'm like, totally buzzing right now.

I just had to tell somebody before I asploded.  That is all.

Aw, that rocks. (As do you, as it happens.) I don't wanna be the unduly-harsher-of-squee thing here, but I'm sure you already know how many internet imposters there are, so just be careful, k?

In any case, as I semi-recently commented about the clippy of "New Song" at YouTube: "Ah, mimes in chains...it just don't get no better 'n that!" :D

Well, this is the real Howard because he's posting video bloglike things from his Australian tour. I saw a couple of my FB friends posting comments on his videos, and I know that they know him, so it's cool :-) But I do appreciate your mother henliness. :-) I got some fangirl slobber on his wall but I *had* to let him know how I felt about his last album.

You should see if you can find a video for "Revolution of the Heart", "For You See Me", and/or "Celebrate Our Love". I'd love for you to hear some of the songs off his most recent one, the one I adore so much.

(I don't get a chance to use this icon enough--thanks for the gimme there!)

I'll definitely check those songs out, yo. I was always faintly bemused by the success of "No One Is To Blame" (which after hearing in the supermarket the other day I realized is always gonna remind me of one of my more ill-behaved exes) because I'd always liked HoJo's earlier stuph, and perhaps not unlike the BOHF reaction to Nu Hu fans, I was all, "Where have you people been?" ;)
